The Czech Republic has joined Poland
and Sweden and announced on Sunday its refusal to face Russia in the season
finisher for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, regardless of the venue of the match.
"The leader council of the Czech
Federation, the individuals from the specialized group, and the players of the
public group concurred that it is preposterous to expect to play against the
Russian public group in the current circumstance, not even in a nonpartisan
arena. We as a whole need the conflict to end as quickly as time permits,"
the Czech Football Federation reported in an articulation.
On Saturday, as indicated by the most
recent FIFA news, the Polish football alliance (PZPN) president
Cezary Kulesza declared that Poland wouldn't play in the season finisher tie
against Russia, a choice upheld by internationals like striker Robert
Lewandowski and the Swedish Federation. "No more words, it's time to act!
Due to the escalation of Russian aggression towards Ukraine, the Polish
national team has no intention of playing," he said.
Poland and Russia must play on March
